Rest StopLike walking through a series of tunnels I found myself wandering a bit in recent months. I ran into a space which seemed to be a dead-end. I had been searching the walls sure there was an exit I couldn't see. Day after day I insisted on looking for the way forward. I would look around at the walls and see no exit. I would press and feel for a trick opening, but none was found. I realized what the problem was. It is not a dead-end, it is a resting place. Sometimes we are so busy running at full speed that we miss alot. Not only so we fail to smell the roses, we are going so fast that we didn't even know there were any kind of flowers nearby at all! What I have been perceiving as a ending, has actually been a beginning. Before I could see my way out of the passage, I had to sit down and rest. Take it all in and prepare for the next part of my journey. There is peace here, I do not thirst, I do not hunger. Now that I am resting, I find myself inspired to create. The last time I made this rest stop, I ended up finishing two small books that I made available for self publishing. Maybe this time will stir my muse to create some more!! I am grateful that I have stopped looking for the way forward and once again have embraced that where I am right now, is exactly where I am supposed to be. CJ Strength"Every time we get chewed up and spit out is one more time we were not swallowed whole" - CJ I think this is a great version of the classic saying that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Too often in our daily life we feel assaulted by countless things such job stress, relationship problems, negative people in our life, or rude & obnoxious strangers. We do our best to move along in peace and happiness but sometimes there is just one more thing added to our plate that threatens to send us over the edge. It is at these times that we should embrace our true inner strength. Even when a challenge seems trivial, if it comes at a moment of already troubled waters you may find yourself in need of drawing on that strength. The power of faith, of character, or love & support from others can be a seemingly endless fountain of strength to us. Some people depend on their faith to build them up when they face adversities.
Others depend on their own character to bring them through the less than happy moments.
A powerful support system can also make life a lot easier to bear during difficult times.
So the world may try to stop you, to hinder your path, or make life seem intolerable but look for your strength.
